We partnered with Riot Fest to support Chicago's local food scene!

We’re thrilled to have partnered with Riot Fest for another year and we’re so grateful for their support and commitment to supporting content creators. Through this opportunity, we had to a chance to highlight some of Riot Fest and our favorite Chicago restaurants to stop at before and after a day at Riot Fest. The really cool part is all the content we created this year were again featured on the main stage screens, highlighting to Riot Fest-ers all the great local restaurants they can support. This year we did a mini food & beer crawl from Goose Island’s new Salt Shed Pub location and classic punk rock joint Reggies. We tried a polish sausage from the oldest hot dog stand in Chicago. We had fried catfish at Soule. We had the world’s first MICHELIN-starred Filipino restaurant. We even reviewed the sandwich that inspired the FX show The Bear. All the videos can be found below! For more local Chicago food reviews, head over to our Eat Local YouTube channel.

Another surprise! Again this year we got team up with our old pal Deanna from Sincere Engineer to collab on a video about corn dogs. Deanna even signed a corn dog with mustard for a lucky fan!

Thank you again to Tim Toomey at Riot Fest for his continued support of Number Six With Cheese and continued mission to highlighting Chicago’s local food scene. Cheers, Tim! Special thanks to TJ at Goose Island, Kelsie at Reggies, Chef Tawon at Firehouse Community Arts Center and everyone at Soule, Dave’s, Mr. Beef and Kasama for their hospitality.
