One of the best parts of this show is that we’ve had the opportunity to explore what one of the world’s greatest food cities has to offer. You all know we love Chicago and we’ve had a blast sharing with you what we’ve found to eat. Sharing Chicago is one of our favorite things to do and the people behind these businesses are what keep us coming back to explore their tasty menus. We appreciate all the cooks, servers, bartenders, bussers, hosts, chefs, owners and delivery drivers in this beautiful city. THANK YOU!

We’ve visited dozens and dozens and dozens of Chicago restaurants over the last few years. Check out a few of our favorites below and learn how you can support our friends in the restaurant business during these unprecedented times. More lists like this to come!

We love you, Chicago!

Fry The Coop

Availability: Order Online (also on UberEats)

Location: 1529 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60642 (Additional Locations in Chicago Suburbs Oak Lawn and Elmhurst)

Just this past April 2020, we had one of the best Nashville Hot Friend Chicken sandwiches…and it’s DRENCHED with spicy butter. We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu but this is a no-brainer if you have a hankering for a chicken sandwich.

Fifty/50’s

Availability: Order Online / Donation / GoFundMe

Location: 2047 W Division St, Chicago, IL 60622

Back in August 2017, ESPN’s Sarah Spain joined us at Fifty/50’s for some badass chicken wings, loaded friends & friend pickles. The sports bar’s award-winning wings are available for online order but The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group’s leadership have taken outstanding measurements to not only take care of their own workers but hospitality and restaurant around Chicago. The group is quite literally giving away meals to impacted workers at their sister restaurant West Town Bakery - read more via BlockClub Chicago.

Bites Asian Kitchen + Bar

Availability: Takeout / No-Contact Delivery

Location: 3313 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657

Back in December 2019, we had one of the most innovative sandwiches we’ve ever had on the show. Bites General Tso Chicken sandwich is so unique and flavorful. The sauce is UNREAL. If you’re not already pulling up the online ordering system…you’re making a huge mistake. The rest of their menu is very expansive (ramen, sushi, burgers, buns) and they’ve got some great deals going on too. THEY EVEN HAVE ALCOHOL DRINKS TO GO.

We love you, Bites — we love you a lot. Maybe too much? Nah. Just the right amount.

Little Bad Wolf

Availability: Takeout / Delivery (GrubHub + DoorDash)

Location: 1541 W Bryn Mawr Ave Chicago, IL 60660

We actually picked this up in the month of April 2020 during quarantine and it gave us LIIIIIFE. Little Bad Wolf’s $18 triple cheeseburger is arguably one of the best in the city. Like seriously, we could barely get words out during this episode. It was basically just us moaning about how sensational it is. Get this burger, explore the rest of the menu and maybe even tack on a bottle of wine or a mix & match craft beer six pack!

Ricobene’s

Availability: Takeout / No-Contact Delivery

Location: 252 W 26th St, Chicago, IL 60616

We had Ricobene’s world-famous breaded steak sandwich back in July, 2017 and we’re still thinking about it. Now you think about this — you can support a Chicago food landmark AND have the best sandwich in the world. UH! Yes, please. This is a bucket list sandwich, knock it off your list while you’re already forced to sit on your couch.

Flo Chicago

Availability: Curbside Pick-Up (Limited Menu)

Location: 1434 West Chicago, Chicago, IL 60622

Back in July 2017, comedian Prateek Srivastava took us to southwestern restaurant & bar serving unbelievable food. They’ve got a very robust limited menu available for curbside pick-up — we’re SURE you’ll find something to sink you teeth into. FRUITY PEBBLE FRENCH TOAST?! OMMMGGGG.

Philly’s Best

Availability: Takeout / Delivery

Location: Multiple Locations (Belmont, Logan Square, Greektown)

Restauranteur Michael Markellos, owner of Philly's Best and Gyro-Mena is a friend of the channel and he’s been so gracious to us over the years. He’s hosted us for special new menu items and even came on an episode as a backseat guest. So after you’ve had a few (or five!) drinks or have a case of the munchies on quarantine — get some of the best food to every exist. You can have Cheez-It Chicken Fingers or the best Philly Steak to your front door in a matter of minutes.

Lucky’s Sandwich Company

Availability: Takeout / GrubHub / UberEats

Location: 3472 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657

In October 2017 we were absolutely overtaken by the delicious, hearty and unbelievably crafted sandwiches of Lucky's Sandwich Company. You’re telling me you don’t want this? We reviewed the ‘Big Kahuna’ sandwich with mango habanero sauce on it. Ok, that’s enough. GO ORDER.

BONUS EXTRAS (JUST BECAUSE!):

Cafe Marie-Jeanne

Availability: Donation / Merch + Tips / GoFundMe

Location: 1001 N. California, Chicago, IL 60622

Back in September 2018, we had one of the best burgers (and burger deals) we’ve ever experienced in Chicago. Cafe Marie-Jeanne is riding out the COVID-19 crisis with a (hopefully brief!) hiatus but you can still support their great team and staff via donation, awesome merch and their GoFundMe Page.

Peqoud’s Pizza

Availability: Takeout / Delivery

Location: 2207 N Clybourn Ave, Chicago, IL 60614

We’ve gone by this location a few times during quarantine and they’re are like a million people waiting for food outside. We totally get why.

CRISP

Availability: Takeout / Delivery

Location: 2207 N Clybourn Ave, Chicago, IL 60614

They’re considered some of the best wings and the city. Comedian Deanna Ortiz joined us as we took a deep dive into CRISP’s Korean Fried Chicken wings.
